Banner Hires Key House Democrat to Expand Firm’s Aviation and Infrastructure Team

Luke Strimer Joins Banner Public Affairs after Seven Years on Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Banner Public Affairs today announced the expansion of the firm’s government relations team with the addition of a new advisor, further strengthening the firm’s bipartisan reach and expertise on transportation and aviation issues.

Joining Banner is Luke Strimer who spent more than seven years on Capitol Hill, most recently as a Democratic staffer on the Committee onTransportation and Infrastructure.

Strimer served as a professional staff member on theSubcommittee on Aviation which recently passed the Federal AviationAdministration Reauthorization bill. Strimer helped to shape the bill and secured a number of priorities for then Ranking Member Peter DeFazio (D-OR),the current Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Prior to working exclusively on the Aviation Subcommittee, Strimer assisted the Committee in numerous roles, including legislative operations and Democratic Member outreach.  In addition, he was actively engaged in the enactment of major surface transportation and water resources legislation.  Prior to joining the Committee, Strimer worked in the personal office of Congressman Nick J. Rahall II (D-WV).
