Banner Public Affairs Bolsters Automotive & Manufacturing Experience in D.C. Communications Team with New Hire
Moves Digital Practice Lead Lynn Stinson to West Coast to Meet Demand for Digital Marketing and Issues Advocacy Needs
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Banner Public Affairs today announced that Emily Grannis has joined the firm as Director, Communications and Public Relations expanding the team’s automotive and manufacturing knowledge.
Grannis comes to Banner following more than two years working as the director of marketing at Pirelli Tire’s North American motorcycle business unit where she was responsible for creating and executing strategies relating to corporate marketing, communications and advertising. In this role, she oversaw the day-to-day marketing and public relations efforts for trade, consumers, media and brand influencers from events to content creation.
Grannis’ strong track record includes extensive agency experience during which she spent five years supporting a range of clients including industry leaders, Kia and Audi. Throughout the course of her career to date, Grannis has driven media relations and communications strategies to support and exceed corporate goals.
“Emily brings tremendous experience and a fresh perspective to the firm, with enthusiasm that will help our clients push boundaries and achieve more,” said George Thompson, partner at Banner Public Affairs. “Her technical understanding and tenure of steering high-profile campaigns will help propel our clients toward new opportunities and victories.”
Grannis’ public relations know-how pushes the boundaries of a traditional communications skillset to include a deep understanding of experiential marketing, having previously supported rollouts for a range of tire launches at Pirelli and promotional campaigns for motorcycles and recreational vehicles at Kawasaki Motors Corp.
Grannis will be based in Banner’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, where she’ll support the communications team and help counsel technology and defense clients.
